UNION WITH GOD

Have you ever heard someone mention a "God-shaped hole" being in each one of us?  It's true! There is a longing deep within us that can be satisfied ONLY by His Presence, His Love, His connection to us! Before we realize what it is, we are "looking for love in all the wrong places", so to speak. That's why no matter what good thing we "think" we have found, it can  never satisfy us! We are complete only when we have become one with Him! We were created BY Him, FOR Him! His desire is for us! 

At the time the woman at the well met Jesus, she had previously had five husbands and was living with a sixth man. But, that day, she met her True Love, the Lover of her soul! She knew that was what she had been looking for and believed it so strongly that she couldn't help but tell the whole town! Now that is the real thing! She made that ultimate connection with the Lord that day! And that is what He desires with each of us ~ for our hearts to beat as one with His! We lose our identity in Him!

We must chase after Him with total abandon until we get a hold of Him! I am obsessed with being in the secret place with Him ~ addicted to His Presence! I want to pour out everything in me and lay it at His feet! I want my heart to beat in harmony with His! I want my heart to break with the things that break His heart! I am a lovesick fool for my Bridegroom!

SEARCH MY HEART LORD

Psalm 139:23-24
"²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
²⁴ Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life."

Jeremiah 17:10
"But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives."

The Holy Spirit guards the entrance to His Presence. We must approach Him with a right spirit. He requires absolute honesty from us when we go before Him. There must be no pretense or deception going into His Presence.


I want to have an unrelenting passion for His Presence like David did ~ a man after God's own heart! I want a pure heart with unselfish motives. I want to be cleansed of everything that hinders communion and intimacy with the Lover of my soul! Lord, search my heart and wash me white as snow!

Today and every day, let our prayer be Psalm 51:1-11.

WELCOME TO THE JOURNEY

Hey everyone! I've been wanting to do this for a very long time. I'm not sure exactly what has kept me from writing this ~ probably a combination of things. But, it has been burning in my heart, and the time has come for me to write and share with you the things the Lord has shared with me! My hope for this ongoing blog is to take you on a journey with me to The Secret Place ~ that personal, special, intimate place where man and his Lord and Savior, Jesus, can communicate in a way that is not known in any other dimension! There are deep places in Him, places He has yet to bring us, that He desires to take us to ~ to share the secrets of His heart, to give us revelation, to open the eyes of our understanding ~ to know Him and make Him known! His desire is for us! He longs for a very personal, intimate relationship with each of us! He created us for Himself! There is so much He wants to say to us! We must quiet our busy lives and steal away for some real quiet time alone with Him ~ no distractions, no one else around, no TV, no telephone, no computer, no spouses, no children ~ He wants our undivided attention and He deserves it! I invite you to join me as I endeavor on this journey ~ the journey to the Secret Place with the Lover of our souls!
